paleochora (literally, "old town") was the capitol of aegina island from the ninth to the 14th centuries. it is said that there were 365 churches in all on the hill - one for each day of the year. today, only 35 remain, five of which are still in use.

these photos were shot with a diana lens mounted on a nikon d700.
